Hello Culver Marina Families, We hope everyone is healthy and well. We are reaching out notify that we are still waiting for the official approval and guidance for the Little League season. The safety of our families is our number one priority. When our state and local officials along with Little League gives us the green light, we will assess every aspect of our Program to comply with regulations. As for now, we must wait. Tom Hanks said... "There's no crying in Baseball" b...ut then again he did test positive for Covid-19, so we can shed a tear or two for missing our beloved sport. We miss you all. Dear Culver Marina families, After a lengthy board and coaches meeting last night, we’ve decided to take the precautionary step to cancel our Opening Day event and all games this Saturday due to Covid-19. While there are no reports that anyone in our league has the virus, we felt that bringing the entire league together into one place was not wise, in light of everything that’s been happening this week. Games should resume the following Saturday, March 21, but we will not be ...holding an opening ceremony. Team practices can continue, as long as weather and field conditions permit, or until further notice. We will update everyone next week, as this is a fluid situation. Thank you for your patience,

Hello CMLL Families, Excitement builds for the commencement for our 2020 Little League season. We will soon catch the sights and sounds of youth baseball and softball games. To be ready, we have two Saturday’s to prepare and we need help. Please join us on Saturday February 29th and Saturday March 7th starting at 10 am. Field preparation and maintenance is the key to a safe and quality baseball and softball program. ... Please volunteer at least a couple of hours. Together, we will get it done. Hello CMLL Families, Saturday March 14th is Opening Day! We are excited about getting this Season started. This is what you can expect on Opening Day. Opening Ceremony begins at 9 am. Please arrive by 8:30 am. Parking is packed. All players need to arrive in uniform. All players will gather by teams and division on the Majors field. It's a great sight when all players gather together from T-Ball to Majors. The ceremony will consist of announcements and a speech from a Do...dger Alumni. Here is the Opening Day Game Schedule. Come hungry! We will have a caterer who will provide a percentage of their proceeds to our League. Our snack bar will be open for drinks, snacks and other goodies. No pets allowed. Please let your family and friends know who plan to visit our field. We must comply with the Department of Fish and Wildlife rules for the La Ballona Wetlands. Parents who made payment plans and/or those interested in working the snack bar in order to get the $50 snack bar fee returned, please see Alex. We need more corporate sponsors. Hello CMLL Families, Welcome to the Culver Marina Little League 2020 Season! We are excited to have many returning players and welcome new players into our Little League family. All registered players are on a team. You should have received notification from your team manager/coach by now. If you have not received an email or text from your team manager/coach, please let us know. ... We will have field work on Tomorrow Saturday February 15th starting at 7am.. We need all hands-on-deck to get the fields ready for games. If our fields aren't ready, it can delay Opening Day. Therefore, please take time out of your day on Saturday to help. IMPORTANT... Our Little League is on the La Ballona Wetlands. This land is protected by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. We must adhere to their rule of NO DOGS ALLOWED. It does not matter the size, the type of dog or if it is on a leash. If a State Ranger shows up (and they do frequently), they will shut down our field if they see a dog. Please let your family and friends who come to the games know. It is unfortunate when we have to go up to a family who brings their dog and request that they put their dog in the car. This isn't our rule, it is the state of California protection of the Wetlands. PLEASE REMEMBER... NO DOGS ALLOWED.

Hello CMLL Families, Our tryouts are this Saturday! Please check the attached schedule for the specific arrival time for each age group. All players must be registered and paid in full in order to participate in Saturday's tryouts. (If you can’t pay stop by early to make payment arrangements or apply for a partial scholarship) This is the final week of registration. We start assembling teams after tryouts, so anyone who registers after tryouts will go onto a waiting list. ...We may not be able to accommodate those on the waitlist, therefore, do not delay. We are happy to announce that we have a softball coach! Woohoo! We will have a Major's Softball team this year (10 - 12 year old). Registration is now open for this division. Tryouts for this division will be at the same time as our baseball Majors timeframe. Come hungry. Our snack bar will be open. We are Happy to announce that we have a softball coach!!! We will open online registration later this evening. We will only have a Major division (10-12 year old). Try outs will be held same time as the Major baseball. Space is limited so please register soon.

If you haven’t registered, I will be at the field tomorrow Saturday 9:30am till Noon. If you missed the early registration fee, we can set up a payment plan. Thanks to Del Rey Neighborhood Council we are able to offer partial scholarships for low income families (this is a first come basis). We are also in need of sponsors. Send and share our form. We can use all the help we can get. Hope to see you tomorrow, or on tryouts Saturday January 25th.

Hello CMLL Families, Tryouts are approaching very soon (January 25th). All players must be registered and paid in full in order to participate in tryouts. You can complete registration online at www.culvermarinalittleleague.com If you need to register in-person, Alex will be at the field this Saturday January 11th from 9:30 am to noon. Please do not hesitate as team formation start after tryouts. Please find the tryout schedule attached.... We need an electrician volunteer. We have a ceiling fan for our snack bar, and need someone with experience to install it for us. Please email us if you can come by this Saturday between 9:30 am and noon. Registration must be complete and paid in order to participate in the tryouts. We need coaches! Yes, being a volunteer takes time and commitment (WE KNOW!), but it is rewarding. You can be a positive influence in many lives. Plus, you don't have to do it alone. Together, we will find you assistance to ensure your team ...has a great season. Please step up. We'd love to offer softball this season. Unfortunately no one has stepped up to be a softball coach.
