Saturday evening, Pack 444 showed their community spirit while participating in the 68th Annual Covina Christmas Parade! Good job scouts, gathering your parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and grandparents from China to walk in parade!! WE TOOK 2ND PLACE in Walking Entries, you rocked Pack 444 in your cubmobiles!!

Webelos of Pack 444 had to build a spaghetti bridge and a chair for their Engineer pin!!!! Whose bridge was the strongest??? Ms. Rochelle got so excited she FORGOT to film the WINNER - Mr. Allen Crum with 6 2.5 songbooks & Mr. Alexander Carr in a close 2nd!! Good job, Allen & Alexander and alllll Webelos Scouts!!!!!!!!

Shared.....So my wife took a picture of me at Cub Camp yesterday, and a thought about it just hit me. So, the attached photo she posted to our pack page with the caption the wise Eagle stance. The older gentleman earned his eagle in 1972, mine in 2006. We are currently undergoing a huge culture shift with the acceptance of girls in our program, which is the whole reason I joined up in Cubs, because of my Daughter. We make these mountains out of these changes and let’s just... take a minute to see what this gentleman has witnessed within the Scouting program: Girls joining Cub Scouts (2018) Re-introduction of the Lions program(2018) Openly gay leaders allowed in (2015) Openly gay boys allowed into BSA (2014) Tiger Motto Changed to Cub motto and new Webelos badge (2006) Re-Introduction of Tigers (2001) Explorers moved to learning for life (1998) Debut of the Venturing Program (1998) Debut of Varsity Scouts (1984) Tiger Cubs started (1982) Scouting HQ moved to Irving TX(1979) Discontinuation of improved scouting program (1976) First female Scoutmaster (1973-1975) I’m sure there’s many I missed. So look at these changes that this man has seen in the program, and here he is, continuing to teach our future, including a female Cub Scout, how to be great Americans and great people. I believe we could all take something from this man: No matter the changes that HQ makes, it shouldn’t effect our faith in the program. We should all be here for one reason: the youth, making their lives better.
