young people of LA, let's go!
On Monday, coalition members of CoPALM met to reflect on the work we have done in the last 5 years and to brainstorm ways to innovate to better serve the needs of Los Angeles. Go team!
Happening in Chinatown this Saturday! Come support youth programming and immerse yourself in the stories of Chinatown.
Make our sidewalk's fun!
Check out photos from our show on 4/20. Thank you to every storyteller, artist, and attendee that joined us on this special night. Let’s continue to #riseupspeakout! See link in bio for photo album. @ Twnhll
On Friday, April 20 14 youth artists and storytellers opened up through art and storytelling about the many hats they wear. Daughter, son, older sibling, parent, activist, teacher, human being. Over 80 people came together to build community with one another and share their experiences.
Wow! We just reached 100 likes. Thank you all for your support of CoPALM!
Did you know this Saturday, April 28th is National Take Back Day? Drop off unused and leftover medication and also enjoy food and activities for the family at Koreatown Youth and Community Center's take back event.
It's all about the details. Our storytellers told their truths in the presence of some of the most amazing stories of the past. #knowhistoryknowself
We had a packed room at our show last night. Thank you to everyone that came to support our artists and storytellers. More pictures to come ;)
Today's the day!! The show is at 6 pm, at 818 N Spring St. Free parking is available at Homeboy Industries parking lot across the street (see the map we posted earlier this week). Looking forward to seeing everyone at this inspiring event!
Still want to tell your story? Sign up for our open mic segment for a chance to inspire others and get your own $20 gift card. #riseupspeakout
Another preview of our artists' work. Farah's piece about the many hats she wears is moving and a true representation of life as a teen in L.A.
En nuestro esfuerzo por hacer que Rise Up, Speak Out sea más accesible, nuestro evento tendrá traducción en vivo en español a través de un traductor.
We have free parking at Homeboy Industries, 130 Bruno St, directly across the street from the show! Check out the map for directions. See you all on Friday!! #riseupspeakout
