Want to know what one of the biggest things was that gave me hopes that my hair would all grow back? The 1st sign I had of hair growth. That first sign of hair growth showed me that what I was doing was actually working and was worth all of the effort.... That gave me more motivation to keep going with the supplements, AIP and stress management. That no matter what, I had to stick to what I was doing and that consistency and patience are the 2 most important parts of the healing process. If you are currently experiencing even the smallest sign, whether it be that your shedding slowed down or you are seeing one of your patches filling in, keep going. I get a lot of questions about what I did to grow my hair back, I wanted to share with you what I didn’t do: I didn’t use corticosteroid shots. I believe autoimmune issues are a sign of imbalance in the body so I wanted to treat the problem not just the symptom. I didn’t use Minoxodil or Rogaine. See reason above. ... I didn’t have cheat meals on AIP. I made small allowances very rarely but my focus was to grow my hair back no matter what. I didn’t hold it all in. Once I gave myself time to process privately with my husband, I talked to my best friend, my parents, my cousins and then with all of you. Holding things in is almost guaranteed to cause you more stress and we all know that stress is the #1 cause of alopecia. And lastly I didn’t stop. I didn’t stop trying everything in my power to grow my hair back. That was my primary focus for months. Listen, in life we are always going to have some sort of problem or other. Nor can we predict the future. Those two things are pretty much guaranteed. What we can control is our reaction to our problems. Current hair routine!! I don't know about you guys, but all of this staying at home and not socializing has me not using heat on my hair nearly as often as I used to! I've been letting my hair air dry and trying to nurture my overly bleached strands back to life and am sharing how I manage to get it to look semi decent ... Current routine (link to shop the products is on my @liketoknow.it page): 1. Wash & lightly dry with a cotton tee 2. Finger comb tangles out (I brush my hair when it's dry right before I wash it) 3. Apply leave in conditioner, I use a few diff ones, I love the one by @realsaintsandsinners or the restoration treatment by @privehair 4. Apply a smoothing lotion to help my damaged ends, I alternate between @moroccanoil smoothing lotion or the split end mender by @livingproofinc 5. Apply @moroccanoil hair serum I then just leave it for the next few hours while it does its thing. The key is to use very little of each product, you don't want to weigh your hair down or coat it too much and don't rub, just press the product gently in. Also do NOT touch it again until it is completely dry. My hair texture is fine/med and slight wavy for reference. What products are you loving? #deepbeauty
