The City of El Monte is offering eligible households food assistance via grocery deliveries from a local grocer. Those eligible may receive up to two deliveries... per month. Program eligibility is as follows: Applicant must reside within El Monte City limits. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applicant household must meet HUD’s Very-Low-Income limits. (See application for income criteria.) Applications can be picked up at the El Monte Aquatic Center.

We’re excited to be part of this new Covid-19 testing opportunity with LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis’ office and OptumServe! Testing will be held at the Jeff... Seymour Family Center on Jan. 4-5 and Jan. 11-12 from 10am - 6pm. Additional testing is available at Potrero School on Jan. 7 & 14 from 10am - 6pm. Remember, APPOINTMENTS ARE NEEDED for testing, sites will NOT be taking walk-ups. Also, these are not drive-thru facilities, testers will have to come up to the specified testing location and show their appointment confirmation and photo ID to receive a test. Our community never ceases to amaze us! The El Monte City School District November Kindness Campaign was a huge success! Our goal was to gather enough hygiene products to assemble 200 hygiene kits. We had enough donations for over 700! All donated items will be given to the El Monte/South El Monte Emergency Resources Association We can’t thank all of you enough for helping provide personal care products to families and individuals. We also want to thank Jeff Seymour Family Center Partners who donated including American Student Dental Association, Day One El Monte, El Monte Promise Foundation, Foothill Family Services, Migrant Education, Our Saviour Center, and Western University Dental Clinic
