Today, on November 10, Mårten Gås, St Martin's Day, is celebrated in Sweden and the tradition is to enjoy a goose dinner. It's especially popular in Skåne in the southern part of Sweden, were goose farming has been practized for a long time. The custom of eating goose came to Sweden from France and St Martin's Day was an important autumn feast during the Middle Ages.

#ThisisSweden - Hello November! In Sweden we have the saying there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. A phrase that sure is used a lot as we... enjoy and appreciate Sweden’s four distinct seasons. Spring, summer, fall and winter each have their own unique personalities. In a country as varied as Sweden, these seasons can be quite different depending on where you live. The Swedish landscape is dramatic and filled with thousands of lakes, freshwater streams, mountains, forests, fields and rolling hills. On the Baltic island of Gotland, limestone columns rise dramatically from the sea. Which is your favorite season? : imagebank.sweden.se #nature #landscape #sweden #winter #spring #summer #fall #autumn #fallvibes
