Back by popular demand, Introduction to Theater (THEA 2000 / CRN 1023) will be taught online by Neil Carpentier-Alting during the 2021 Winter Session (January 4-28, 2021). This 4-week course is open to both majors and non-majors and meets requirements for transfer to CSU and UC and associate degree. Introduction to Theatre is a survey of theatre, including basic elements and principles of production, styles, and/or historical perspectives of theatre, dramatic literature, and criticism. Taught by Dr. Daniel Kealey, World Religions: Western Cultures will provide an introduction to the monotheistic religious traditions of the West and how they relate to culture and social life. (Includes the history and teaching of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.) This 3-unit class will be taught fully online during the 2021 Winter Session (starts January 4, ends January 28) and meets associate degree requirements as well as CSU and UC transfer requirements.
