Berliner Cohen, LLP flexed its BBQ muscles this past weekend at the 2021 NephCure Kidney International Pig Jig in San Jose, CA. The event raised over $200,000 for Nephcure Kidney International, which supports research for Nephrotic Syndrome (a rare kidney disorder). The competition is judged by official judges from the California BBQ Association. The Berliner Cohen chefs faired pretty well - ending up with a top-10 finish overall. The highlight of the day was placing 3rd in ...the Ribs category! The Berliner BBQ team was headed by Brandon Rebboah and Scott Bishop, with Maria Palomares and Marisa Martinson serving as sous chefs. The day's menu included savory ribs as well as the wild card entry - smoked bacon-wrapped Oreos and doughnut hole kabobs.
