The San Ramon Senior Citizens Advisory Committee is still accepting applications. If you are interested in representing the 55+ community in San Ramon, please submit an application now. Please complete the application online at: https://www.sanramon.ca.gov/o/boards_committees_commissions The charge of the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, as approved by the San Ramon City Council, is as follows:... Advise the staff and Parks and Community Services Commission on the delivery of various senior citizen recreation and community service activities that provide recreational, social, educational and health services to the San Ramon Senior Center participants. Provide recommendations to the staff and Commission on senior citizen programs and San Ramon Senior Center policies. Appoint appropriate sub-committees as necessary to further the work of the Center's programs and efforts of the Committee. Receive input from the senior citizen community, including input from other individuals and organizations on issues relevant to the senior citizen community. Act as liaison for senior citizen issues to governmental and private organizations. Advocate senior citizen issues within the entire community. Identify problems of service and recommend appropriate solutions. Be a channel of communication between staff, Senior Center participants, and the senior citizen community. Provide feedback to staff on the assessment of current and future needs of the senior citizen community for the purpose of program planning. Minimum age requirement is 55 years. The Senior Advisory Committee Meetings Take Place the First Monday of the Month - 10:00 a.m.

Located between two cul-de-sacs, Dawes Ct. and Balmoral Ct; this pocket park is tucked away in the hills of Dougherty Valley. Compass Point offers a forest themed playground, picnic area with charcoal barbecue, and ample open lawn areas. This park also serves as an access point to the Tassajara Ridge Trail. Reminder: The San Ramon City Council is accepting applications to appoint an applicant from District 2 to fill the remainder of an unexpired term on the City Council. The successful applicant would serve from time of appointment until the results of the November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election are certified by the City Council. Applicants must be U.S. citizens over 18 years of age, registered voter in District 2, and reside within District 2 in the City of San Ramon. Tomorrow (Tuesday, November 3) is the last day to vote! Indoor drop boxes at San Ramon City Hall, the San Ramon Permit Center, and the Alcosta Senior and Community Center are open from 8:30 a.m.5 p.m. Outdoor drop boxes at the San Ramon Community Center and Dougherty Station Community Center are open 24/7 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. Ballots can also be returned via mail (no postage required), and must be postmarked by November 3. On Tuesday, November 3, several ...polling places will be open throughout the community from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To locate your designated polling place, check the back cover of the Voter Information Guide mailed to you, or click here: https://www.cocovote.us/registratio/my-voting-information/ Those who choose to vote in person will be required to practice social distancing and wear face coverings. If voters don't have PPE available, the County will provide it. All Elections staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks. Sanitizer will be available at the entry and exit of all in person polling places and the equipment will be sanitized regularly. To minimize the time spent at the polling place, voters should review their ballots ahead of time and arrive ready to vote for their preferred candidates and ballot measures. This week's featured hike is Village Center Loop. The loop consists of multiple trails and paved pathways to return hikers back to the starting location. This is a 1.9 mile easy hike along a paved path. The Village Center Loop hike will take 0.75 - 1.25 hours to complete. The Village Center Loop begins at the Dougherty Station Community Center and crosses the Alamo Creek before it travels into the surrounding neighborhood following a flat paved path through Amarante Park. At... Ivy Leaf Springs Road, the trail turns left toward Stoneleaf Road. At the traffic circle at the corner of Stoneleaf and Ivy Leaf Springs Road hikers will continue straight on to the Mourning Dove Trail and will climb towards the Old Dougherty Road trail. Hikers will head south following the Old Dougherty Road and cross over the Alamo Creek. At Bollinger Canyon Road, hikers will turn left and follow the sidewalk back towards the Dougherty Station Community Center. For more information visit www.sanramon.ca.gov/srtrails

Bars and other businesses that sell alcohol without meals to open for outdoor operation Family entertainment centers to open indoors for naturally distanced activities, such as bowling alleys, escape rooms and climbing-wall gyms, at 25% occupancy Card rooms to open indoors at 25% occupancy Small amusement parks to open at 25% of occupancy or 500 people, whichever is fewer Professional sports venues to open at 20% occupancy Live musical, theatrical, and other artistic performances are permitted outdoors with no more than 50 people in attendance, following State guidance and subject to local health officer approval.
