Spent nearly a year researching, gathering materials, and coming up with ideas for my individual artist grant this year, only to get thwarted by the virus. Although I didn't get to finish and have a final public exhibition, my understanding of Asian American immigration history in SF deepened immeasurably. I also came in regular contact with a small group of #AAPI activists, who I meet with monthly through Zoom, so I anticipate that I will be doing more with these stories soon. Thank you, #SFACfunded for helping me embark on this journey that feels more relevant now than ever.
