Very Merry Christmas to everyone from us on Lane! Have healthy and happy holidays!
While Santa can't be on our Lane to visit with kids this year, Santa's mailbox is out, letters will get delivered to the North Pole, and if you include a legible return address you'll get a reply! As long as your letter is put in the box by December 21.
I've been really enjoying watching the slow parade of cars going by (thank you for staying in your car!), and I see those who do choose to walk are wearing masks and very respectfully maintaining >6 feet distance by stopping to wait for the family in front of them to move forward on the sidewalk. Thank you, and we're glad we can bring a small bit of holiday cheer to everyone in this strange year.
When will Christmas Tree Lane open this year? We're starting to decorate already, and we should be all lit up by Dec 5 (the first Saturday in December is our tradition). What time are lights on? From about 5:30pm to about 10:00pm. Each house has their own timers, so these are approximate times. How will COVID-19 affect my visit? We encourage each of you to stay in your own cars to enjoy our lights. If you walk, you must wear a mask an maintain >6ft distance from other families. And of course follow all county health guidelines, orders and curfews.
Christmas Tree Lane will be OPEN this year, Dec 5th through 31st, however some block traditions will be canceled or scaled back this year to follow health guidelines. The large trees in the median will not be lit, and Santa will not visit with kids this year. Santa's Mailbox WILL be available for letters to Santa, and letters with legible return addresses will still go to the North Pole for a reply from Santa himself! We strongly encourage everyone visiting to wear masks and maintain distance from others, or simply stay in your own cars as you enjoy the decorations.
