Our early childhood educator dropped off science kits for our #SOMA neighborhood families! We have always believed that hands-on STEM learning can happen out of school. We are thankful for our partners @galingbata and the incredible work they do. #scienceinthesummer @franklininstitute @gsk #artandscience #steameducation #yerbabuena

We are honored to partner with the Mexican Consulate in San Francisco and the Bay Area Science Festival to offer a Spanish presentation today at Noon! We are presenting a program about imagining life in the universea great way to highlight creativity in STEM!

While hands-on science activities look a lot different this year, our educator still brings her energy and enthusiasm to the task! We provided hundreds of science kits to afterschool partners in SF including the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, and Galing Bata as part of the "Science in the Summer" program thanks to The Franklin Institute and GSK.

The Aha! are a species of tiny, red, friendly heart-shaped observers from a far away galaxy. They usually stick together, because what one Aha! sees, every Aha! sees. They often work together, and love making new friends. That is why they live at the Children’s Creativity Museum there are always new friends to meet! Because Aha! is from another galaxy, if they are President, they’ll continue to make sure that everyone feels welcome to come to CCM, no matter where they’re from! Like this post to vote for Aha! + let us know why in the comments!

The Birdles believe that all children have the right to a quality education! Like this post to vote for the Birdles + let us know why in the comments!

The Kromas are green aliens from the planet Yerba Buena Gardens. The Kromas once lived in the grass on planet YBG where they could go unnoticed and watch everything that was happening around them. When more people began visiting planet YBG however, the Kromas started getting trampled and had to move. Now they live at the Children’s Creativity Museum, and like to play hide-and-seek by blending in with the different colored walls! The Kromas know how it is to love nature, which is why, if they are elected president they will make sure to create even more nature activities for kids to do! Blooper the dog is a little bit shy, and prefers to watch and observe before trying new things. She loves to spend time with her best friend CRE-8, because CRE-8 is usually willing to be the first to try something new. After watching for a little bit, Blooper has less anxiety and starts to see how much fun new things can be and always wants to jump right in! Blooper knows how important it is to understand their own mental health, which is why if Blooper is President, they’ll make sure there are spaces at CCM devoted to talking about your mental health! Like this post to vote for Blooper + let us know why in the comments!

CRE-8 is a purple learning robot. Since she is a machine, she’s very curious about technology and how everything around her works. For CRE-8, trying new things is the most fun way to learn. That is why she loves the DIY Studio and Build-It area in the Imagination Lab! Because CRE-8 loves technology, she understands that everyone should be able to learn coding! If you vote for CRE-8, she’ll make sure to have even more opportunities to learn coding at CCM! Like this post to vote for CRE-8 + let us know why in the comments!

Rockto is not your average octopus. He is a rock star! Like other octopi, he loves to swim but he also loves to sing and dance. He has even traveled all around the world on music tours! When he is not jetting around the globe, you can find him in the Music Studio where he practices all his famous dance moves and films his music videos. Since Rockto has traveled the world, he knows how important understanding and celebrating other cultures is! Voting for Rockto is a vote for the celebration of all of us! Zump is big, yellow, furry and loves to have fun! His favorite thing to do is play with clay. He spends most of his time in the Animation Studio, where he can make movies starring his own clay creations. He enjoys directing movies, but he likes it even more when the other Critters join as co-producers. Zump is a champion for artists and if Zump is elected President, he will make sure that our little artists have plenty of art activities through CCM’s Create@Home.
