Center for Developing Kids will be well represented at the annual American Occupational Therapy Association conference in Philadelphia this year. Holly Charlton will be presenting a poster on grandparenting roles, Carley Wade will be presenting a poster on financial literacy for homeless adolescents, and Sue Trautman will be presenting on the Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI), an international assessment that she is helping to develop. In addition, AngaLi Carrasco Koester has been selected as the next Sensory Integration Special Interest Section Chairperson. This year’s conference is particularly exciting, as it marks the 100th anniversary of the profession of occupational therapy.
We'd like to wish a warm welcome to our newest occupational therapist Carley Wade, who joined our team this week, and to Cameron Brown, our most recent physical therapist who joined us a few months ago. We are so happy you are here.
Center for Developing Kids will be closed from Thursday December 22nd through Monday January 2nd. We will reopen on Tuesday January 3rd. We wish all of our families a happy, healthy, holiday. We look forward to seeing you again in the new year.
Last week CDK's staff celebrated the holidays with our traditional dinner and Secret Santa exchange. Thank you to owners Sue Trautman and Laura Hogan Reyes for such a fun event. We would also like to extend our warmest wishes for very happy holidays to all of our wonderful families.
For our November outing we had a Thanksgiving feast at CDK! The Good to Grow kids were able to eat, smell, and touch turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce, and of course some pumpkin pie. Gobble gobble!
Center for Developing Kids would like to wish a happy and safe Thanksgiving to all of our families. As a reminder, we will be OPEN Monday through Wednesday (November 21-23) next week, and CLOSED Thursday and Friday (November 24-25).
