It has been a very fast paced fall for our Titan team. We have been preaching PROCESS and working to mentally slow the game down and it all manifested itself in dramatic fashion yesterday. We played well all weekend, and had solid defense for most of the championship game. Down 2-0 in the last inning with 2 outs We sent 6 hitters to the plate. Each one was focused on what was right in front of them. Not the score, not the count, not the championship, just having a good appro...ach. The same approach in the first inning of Saturdays games. Nothing was different. Each player bought in and we came away with a 3-2 win. The process, with aggressive base running, was on full display. It is awesome when young men buy in to the bigger picture! Thank you Titan Families for trusting the process, even when it was new to you and allowing your son to enjoy this ride.

Due to field availability, this Sunday's 12u tryouts will be from 3:00pm- 6:00pm at the Salinas Complex (Rodeo) Field 1. We realize many are in TOC's/All Stars/Pony and can't make it this weekend. If this is the case please message us if you are interested, as we may possibly be holding a third tryout! We have many exciting plans this year and hope to acquire a great group of kids and families. The Titans not only participate in tournaments, but have also participated in a 5k... run, were Applebee's servers hosted an Opening Day with parents vs. players game (lots of fun)! We will do local tournaments and our long range goal is possibly taking these kids to Arizona like the older team has done, or participate in any major tournaments the families collectively decide to do. It's going to be a great season, hope to see you there! www.westcosttitiansbaseball.com See more

As Jackie Robinson famously said A life can be measured by the impact it has on others. By that measurement, Don Meyer, has lived an amazing life. The world lost a great human being this morning who happened to be a coach. A few years ago, Splinters instructors went to a coach’s convention and had the privilege to hear coach talk about leadership, serving and building young men, more than players. For a basketball coach to speak at a baseball coach’s convention, you know he had to be great. To have the impact he had, to this day, is amazing. We were all better off for his teachings and emulating his love and passion for life. http://espn.go.com//don-meyer-college-basketball-coaches-m If you make the time to google search Don Meyer, you’ll be better for watching some of his amazing speeches
