Please read if you have kids!!! Me, my newborn and 5 year old were in Ukiah Walmart yesterday shopping. We were looking at Easter stuff when I noticed a man who... probably never would be in an Easter isle. I went to the next isle and this man also went to this isle. I saw him about two other times when I started to feel off. I called my husband and told him I think I am being followed. He called UPD and also hurried to come to the store. I started to go through random isles that he probably would never need to be in and THERE HE WAS!!! I made sure to go by the registers where there was a lot of people to wait for my husband and officers. I went outside and described the male to the officer and within 5 min he walked out with the exact man!! Come to find out this man was a high sex offender and on parole and possibly targeting my 5 year old!! Thank you City of Ukiah Police Department for the quick response and for helping us feel safe! Please watch your surroundings!! This was the scariest thing I could have gone through with my girls!!

#EastFire UPDATE All evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS have been LIFTED. State Street closed from 5500 North State Street to Central Avenue will remain closed unti...l further notice. Fire crews are still working on the #EastFire so be watchful of equipment and personnel. If you live north of Central Avenue, come in from the north. And if you live south of 5500 South State Street, come in from the south.
