Spread the word and support breast cancer. John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation in partnership with Mountain Fitness is holding a breast cancer awareness community 5km virtual run or walk starting October 1st and going through to October 31st. It is a time to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer, provide support to those who are going through treatment, and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. It is also a time to raise awareness and provide ed...ucation about breast cancer. This year, due to Covid-19, we are asking you to put aside time to run or walk 5km anywhere and anytime that works for your schedule and to provide your results virtually. It is free to register for this event. If you choose to make an optional donation in celebration, support, or honor of someone, the minimum amount to be donated is $10.00. Any funds raised will go directly to the John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation to help cover the cost of breast cancer screening tests for women who have low income or no health insurance. If you are running or walking with people outside your bubble, please keep 6 feet distance and wear a mask. Be sure to post photos of your run or walk on the John C. Fremont Hospital's Facebook page. There will be a prize for first, second, and third place times and random drawings.
