That time when a Facebook comment leads to an auction, which leads to an impulse buy of thousands of pounds worth of bendy, unstable sheets of rubber mat flooring, which leads to a panic and scramble to complete a project that would require nothing short of a miracle to get done in time to go to the Bay Area for work later on. I cannot express enough times my gratitude for my friends who came out to help-not expecting such a huge project, on their days off, to help me with. I... couldn’t have done it alone. Social Capitol is so powerful and heartening as to lend one to ponder the possibilities of what a collection of willing individuals can accomplish. @acromott @joes_bar_and_cult @louiselliott_ @scottybamberger Ryan Farr & Lisa, thank you guys a few tons!!! I’ll never forget. Hey Northern CA, do you Need protection for your #homegym ?? DM me for inquiries. #athomefitness #sacramentopersonaltrainer #socialcapital #sacramentofitness

My ideal foraging groundsFarmers Markets! Not only is the farmers market a great place to find a plethora of locally grown, organic, and even, aquaponic (an...aqua what!?), fruits and vegetables, as well as, high quality local meats like fresh wild caught fish or pasture-raised fowl and ruminants, but it’s also great for discovering local art and fanciful flowers! It’s often more cost-effective than the produce and high quality meats sold at big name brand stores, and almos...t always, grown closer to home, which translates to ripened before harvested, and therefore, packed full of micronutrients (the raw materials responsible for the life processes of and for our organic beings), and ready to eat! Do you care about the environment? Shopping at local farmers markets has a direct impact on the environment by reducing the carbon footprint resulting from smaller distances travelled. Getting to know your local agricultural workers is fun, easy, informative, and often leads to further savings just for taking the time to get to know them and about what they’re selling. Summary of Benefits: Supports local economy High variety of choices Cost effective Locally sourced Freshly harvested Low environmental impact Garner social capital & community Surrounded by happy looking people ;) ...and much more!! If you’re unfamiliar with farmers markets, you can always join me, and I’ll happily walk you and/or your father’s nephew’s former roommate, through the process. Just shoot me a message and we’ll go from there. #farmersmarket #sacramento365 #hiitfitnesssacramento #fitnesssacramento #yogasacramento #farmtofork #eastsac #landpark #natomas #roseville #sacramentoweightloss #calmend #onlinetrainingcoach

My waking dreams have been full of beauty recently, I’m glad I took the time for myself to experience these skies before the Eye of Sauron emerged (See last photo). Here’s to a prompt return of the finer aspects of nature

Get outside, be with friends and friendly critters, take risks, hike through the bush, climb boulders, swim in the cold and turbulent pacific, go without shoes, breathe in the negative ions and reset your being, in other words, go primal. @ Klamath, California

We are not apart from nature. We need exposure to her subtle sounds, vibrant colors, floral smells, and her germs. We can’t hide from her and expect to be a formidable opponent to her teeth, claws or viruses. No one can guarantee her gentle side nor deny her storms; more than ever before, we need her to teach us how powerful she is, not good; not bad, simply, what she is-life.

Another week gone. This week three things I’m grateful for are sunsets, my body, and the collective effort to avoid causing any unnecessary suffering of the vulnerable. #sacramentoyoga #sacramentofitness #sacramentofitnesstrainer #wellbeingresource #urbanhive

Posture results from habits; habits result from repeated gestures; gestures result from experimentation. In order to resolve pain resulting from bad posture, we must experiment with new gestures; in turn develop new habits-leading to a new posture. Stretching the muscles responsible for the majority of one’s daily actions can help reset or reverse engineer the effects of our posturing throughout the day.... Try these stretches out if you’re an office worker or if you find yourself sitting for long periods of time throughout the day. Stretch between 15-30 seconds per stretch every time you get up, or at least three time within a given workday to relieve tension in commonly affected areas. Stretches 1-10 (15-30 secs/side): * Seated spins twist * Forearm/wrist/finger * Low back, mid back, neck * Hip flexor * Quad * Chest * Posterior shoulder * Wrist/finger flexor group * Wrist/finger extensor group * Lats/side body/triceps Enjoy!!! @ann.fphotos #sacramento #yogasacramento #sacramentoyoga #theurbanhive #sacramentowellness #wellbeingresource @ CalMend

Yoga poses (aka asanas) are great isometric exercises-static postural holds which generate a lot of heat internally. They are especially effective at priming the musculoskeletal system for deeper stretching and tissue deformation, whereby lasting change can manifest in the soft tissues, resulting in increased muscle tone, flexibility, and joint mobility. ((WORKOUT)): Try holding these poses for 45 secs on each side (limb); resting for 15 secs in between reps. Alternate betw...een standing asanas and horizontal ones as demonstrated by the photo sequencing. Normally, I would include two more asanas per category, but instagram only allows ten photos. Doing these exercises alone, the workout will last 20 mins. Add two more asanas (standing & horizontal) each, and you’ll get a nice 30 mins-plus, you’ll be primed for the aforementioned deep stretching afterwards, that is, if you feel so inclined. @ann.fphotos #CalMend #fitness #onlinetrainingcoach #yoga #sacramento #midtownsacramento #sacramentoyoga See more

Nature doesn’t self quarantine. Coyote encroachment in Midtown Sacramento. Keep your cats and small dogs inside or they may become this wily coyotes’ meal.
