The is the town of Forest Hill, c. 1870. This is a fun one to zoom in on to see the detail. Some of those homes were pretty big. At one time, Foresthill was one... of Placer Counties' largest towns. Can someone tell me how far from today's Foresthill this scene was located? Photo: Placer County Museums See more

More items made by our museum blacksmiths are being added to the Miner’s Camp Pop-up shop. Last chance before Valentines Day. (Thursday-Sunday 11-5)

Thanks Placer County Museums. The current Forest House is the 4th one built in the 40’s and remodeled since then. Now an event venue and private. I loved the days in the 80’s when the diner served Lumberjack breakfast special. The breakfasts were hardy!
