https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=D2ZW8Z3XMTBC4 Some of you have asked about donating in Liz Carletta’s memory. Liz was the wife of one of our club members who lost her battle with COVID. Burbank Sunrise Rotary is creating a perpetual scholarship in Liz’s name at Village Christian School for a student pursuing a career in nursing. Here is a link to donate on the home page of the Rotary Club of Burbank Sunrise, burbanksunriserotary.com, and donate using PayPal. Make sure you click on Use this donation for Liz Carletta Memorial Fund.

Holiday parties are challenging in the time of COVID but doesn’t mean we can’t have them! We ordered snowman paint kits and had a paint and sip party. We logged in for cocktails, which really helps with the painting! Yes, we couldn’t get together, but we really had a good time!!! #BurbankSunriseRotary #District5280

This morning we assisted Kids Community Dental Clinic with a drive-thru no contact trick or treat for low income families! Happy Halloween!!!
COVID has certainly had an effect on how we serve our communities. Normally this time of year, Burbank Noon and Burbank Sunrise would be putting on a holiday party and dinner for developmentally challenged teens and adults. This year, we decided on a drive thru party where they could at least get their gifts from Santa. Sadly with the spike in COVID cases including in our own Rotary families, we were reduced to dropping off the gifts for about 75 clients at BCR A Place to Grow. As I’ve become fond of saying, things are exactly the same only different. Ho Ho Ho! #RotaryResponds #RotaryClubofBurbank #BurbankSunriseRotary #RotaryDistrict5280 #BCR
