Hello Sonoma County...I have been really busy switching the store over to fall and keeping myself occupied so as not to fret over the impending election and how important and consequential this one will be for us all. Aside from my plead to vote, I am holding a new fall outfit: a great lightweight sweater by Alembika: an amazing clothing line that seems to capture the season. Just one of the new outfits I will be showing very soon in a fall video of the store. Take care and stay strong and calling on all angels to give us reason to celebrate after November 3rd.

Hello Sonoma County...as the smoke clears and we are once again faced with some blue sky and sun. Fires are being contained slightly and those of us who were told to leave can now return home. So as some of Sonoma County returns to some recognition of normality, politics is under fire, again! Each day we are watching those that would not take the warnings of science and followed a leader that uses his gut and street smarts to make decisions about life and death and now he ...too is paying the price. Unfortunately, it is not just he who is paying the price but others who are finding out sadly that they too should have listened to the doctors and science that were and are putting themselves at political risk to guide and warn us all of the severity and seriousness of Covid. I am really proud of all my clients and friends and those that live here in Sonoma County and myself for heeding to those that are schooled in the science of epidemiology and the doctors that know the facts. Because you and I have handled this virus as it should be with rubber gloves and masks, I am able to provide a place to shop safely and with clothing that makes us all feel good. Fall is quickly approaching and the days are hotter and shorter so that means sweaters and fall fabrics and colors are nearing. Fortunately, I had a lot of fall ordered back in January at the last clothing market I was able to attend. However, tomorrow is the beginning of the first clothing market since the pandemic began and last one for this year. So I will be attending an outside market in San Mateo and because we have all taken such good care of ourselves over the past seven months, I will be able to select new fun things for the upcoming holidays. I am sure the holidays will be different this year, maybe smaller gatherings or maybe sharing with family virtually, but something new for these special times still makes a difference. We will be celebrating a very tough and uncertain year and cheering a new one in very soon. I will be shopping for those items that feel warm and cozy--comfort clothing. Maybe that perfect top for Thanksgiving or that great sweater for dining outside as the weather changes. We aren't going as many places but having something new for those few special outings makes all the difference. I will be merchandising new fall pieces in the store all month. I look forward to showing you and having you experience all the new colors and fabrics for fall on your next appointment. Go out and enjoy tomorrow in the less smokey, blue skies and thank yourself for being smart enough to know that those schooled in science and medicine know what they are talking about and you are wise enough to listen to the experts. Hi everyone in Sonoma County...now that we have escaped the newest disaster and we are dealing with the smokey aftermath, we are now back to living with the original disasters: Covid and economic devastation, that’s all. We can all breath a sigh of relief however we just can’t breath too deeply. I thought it would be refreshing and give us all a break and show a new group of good looking outfits. These two outfits are from Just Jill. This is a line that originates from Ha...waii. The fabric is the softest rayon and very lightweight but in a very transitional color teal that can be worn year round. On the left is the irregular circle print in a 3/4 sleeve top and a two-pocket irregular hem skirt. This outfit would be great with a sandal or boot depending on season. Top: $89 and skirt: $109. All sizes: small-XXL On the right is a three piece grouping: same 3/4 sleeve tee: $89. Full leg pant with pockets and finished with a button hem at bottom: $79. Topping this outfit is a longer vest in an Aztec design and in the same soft rayon fabric: $115. All pieces: small-XXL These two outfits can be interchanged and all pieces can be worn easily with other fabrics as well. However, once you put this so soft fabric on, you will have trouble not choosing the outfit again, or a part of it daily. It just arrived so feel free to call and make an appointment and feel for yourself how incredibly soft and well designed this lightweight, rayon group really is.

Morning Sonoma County: we are truly being tested as we have made all necessary adjustments as Covid continues and now we must endure and live with another uncertainty as the fires engulf our dry terrain. We continue to amaze ourselves as the tenacity and resilience come out fighting as we are living through uncontrollable misfortunes. Good for us! We must continue to make the best out of bad situations and it is clear we do. Kudos to our strength... On the subject of i...nventing a new product out of necessity in our new norm, pictured below is just that...it’s called the Bandit. It is a scarf/mask combination. The mask is attached to the scarf and both are made out of a very light, soft rayon fabric. You simply tie the scarf in the back loosely around your neck and you are ready to go. You place the three layer mask into position with elastic ear straps and when you don’t need the mask you can simply drop it or tuck it inside the scarf and your mask disappears. It’s a great product when you are dining outside or in a distanced gathering. No more letting the mask hang off one ear or holding your mask until you need to use it again. This is easier and more sanitary as well. Besides, it’s a more convenient way of handling our new norm, and it’s a nice looking accessory. Just received the Bandit and several clients are already enjoying its versatility. $39 As you can see the Bandit is a great accompaniment to an outfit. We may have to mask up and protect but we can do it with style!
