Stockton's Young Buddhist Association will be holding a drive-thru toy drive on December 13th from 12:00-1:00 PM. Donations will benefit the San Joaquin County Child Protective Services. If you would like to support this great cause, but would prefer not to drive down to the temple, the YBA can also accept monetary donations as well. Your kind generosity will be greatly appreciated!

Hi All, We hope this finds you in good health and good spirits! Just an F.Y.I., I received a phone call from San Joaquin County Parks & Recreation Department that the state and county government canceled the JACL Annual Picnic ( scheduled on Sunday, May 24th, 2020), due to COVID-19. ... We have rescheduled the JACL Picnic for Sunday, May 30, 2021 (Memorial Day Weekend), at Micke Grove Regional Park at the San Joaquin Shelter. I realize that this isn't a Buddhist Church of Stockton event, however the respective communities have a long history of being interlinked, and thus I posted it to both the JACL and Buddhist Church of Stockton Facebook pages. The Stockton JACL apologizes for the cancelation of our annual event that has been a long standing tradition way beyond my memories as a child. We do believe given the COVID-19 Pandemic and in the best public health interest of our membership, our families, our friends and everyone that we respect social distancing until a vaccine, treatment or herd immunity develops. Until then, stay well and healthy! Thank you for supporting JACL! John Fujii, O.D. Vice President Stockton Chapter, Japanese American Citizens League
