We’ve been busy creating for you... introducing our new FIshSkin camo. Inspired by the illusive white seabass...aka ghosts. Most companies make high contrast camouflage which looks great on the reef bottom where there's lots of natural contrast between reef, urchins, plant life and their shadows. However, most of us aren't laying on the bottom to hunt white seabass. I have always been amazed at how such a large fish, like a 60lb seabass, can be hard to see even at only 10-20'... away. White Sea Bass are predominately grayish silver. WSB hunters are often suspended in the mid-column up to the surface of the water, where there's more light and less contrast. In one session freediving at Pincrest Lake, I found three trout that were broken off or release from fishing that were dead. This trout was tangled up with a dead trout & the line tore through its cheek from pulling the extra weight. Fishing can be fun, but it gave me a deeper appreciation of the selective process of Spearfishing...and it’s rare to have break offs of your mono where you end up polluting the waters with line and if we take our best shots we can minimize tear outs. Fresh water has been a great training grounds for the kids. No sharks or waves to contend with.
