DID YOU GIVE BIRTH IN 2020? Here is a chance to share your voice! The SACRED Birth Study is recruiting Black or African American persons who gave birth in 2020. The goal for this study is to explore how Black Mothers and Birthing People experience racism in the hospital settings during labor, birth, and postpartum, prior to going home. See the flyer for more information and details on how to join the study or you can call (510) 545-2989.
Is today the day he'll open his eyes? Is today the day I can finally hold him? Give now to support our work in the NICU, providing comfort and resources to overwhelmed moms like Silvia. I had mixed feelings of hope, fear, and happiness. Even though I couldn’t touch my baby, at least he was aliveduring the first days he was all wired and needed the respirator. At the same time, you see families around their babies’ incubators, each baby in a different stage and with a different story, says Silvia.
