New month new opportunities to learn!
Looking forward this week to launching our new ASA Program: Adventures Into Independence!! Stay tuned for posts as we make progress towards independence and self-advocacy!
It’s a sunny day and ASA Jr. (Wednesdays) is back in action!
Yay! We are back in action!!
We opened our learning center in September to small, limited groups of students. It has been so much fun that I wanted to gather some pictures and share them with you.
Proudly sharing sentences with peers in After School Academy Jr.
New day, new students, same activity. It worked so well with the older students we are trying again with the younger group. They are nailing it!
Socially distanced journal writing. Students have been exceptional about following the mask and 6 feet apart rules. What a privilege to work with each of them!
Getting ready for some learning!
What a great group of learners today at ASA! Too much fun.
Join us for a free national learning event! Register at https://forms.gle/zf18xRmCej53Q3349. Zoom information will be sent to you via email. If you have any questions, let us know!
What are you doing on October 22nd? Join NDSC for its Soiree of the Stars Gala. It is free and promises to be a grand virtual evening. More information below.
Want a break for your learner from seated Zoom sessions? Try free dance instruction from the Expressive Movement Initiative. See below for registration information.
Hard to stop sharing pictures from today. Grateful to have eager learners back in action!
Math with giant dice and a number line was equally as fun.
Hard to imagine more enthusiasm than this over letter-sound work!
Calling all LP Online Participants! After next week, I will no longer be posting LP Online content here. FB Live Sessions, Zoom Links and more are all available through the private online group. If you are in the program and haven't joined us yet, come on over! https://www.facebook.com/groups/LPOnline/... Information about instructional sessions: I am working on completing the sessions, but after this week there will be two options for digesting instructional information. 1. Watch the segmented sessions and check them off as completed. 2. Watch the Live Zoom replay. The first option will be more time efficient. The second option will feel more like you are sitting with friends learning. I encourage you to try it both ways and see which feels more supportive. Please feel free to reach out with questions or ideas for added content.
The band (or at least most of us) are back together for After School Academy I.
After School Academy Jr. Day 2! So fun working with eager learners on addition, phonics, and comprehension.
ASA Sr. students back in the house! Exciting to catch up with everyone and hear about what they want to do with their time.
ASA Jr. today! What fun and great work on the part of the learners in keeping safe while learning!
Getting ready to welcome learners!
