TIM AND CAROL ROCHFORD ANNOUNCED AS OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPISTS The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Desert Communities Chapter announced their honorees for its 14th Annual National Philanthropy Day 2020 in the Desert awards. The virtual event is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2020. National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside for the purpose of recognizing the great contribution of philanthropy. The special day offers an opportunity to reflect on th...e true meaning of charitable giving and the spirit that makes such generosity possible. Tim and Carol Rochford for more than four decades have had a positive and lasting impact on the lives of countless children in the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley. Since purchasing their first residence in the Valley in the early 70’s, they immediately became involved with many local non-profits supporting children. Together, they have supported more than 40 children’s organizations in this region. Their generosity has funded lifesaving medical equipment, scholarships, day and over-night camps, meals for families, swimming lessons, golf lessons, and multiple other programs and services for children.
