For the first time in Recce Town history, an all-women T-38 Talon formation flight took place this month. The formation may have only included two jets, but I'll let you in on a secret . The U-2 Dragon Lady program has had a very small number of female pilots. To be exact, there's only been 9 in it's entire history! There will be 10 once Maj. Jen accomplishes her final U-2 solo flight. #womenshistorymonth #Reccetown #formationflight #t38talon #u2dragonlady #pilot

Ret. Brig. Gen. Chuck Yeager, the pilot who broke the sound barrier in 1947, passed away yesterday at the age of 97. Yeager was a local resident and a frequent visitor to Beale AFB. Let’s take a moment to remember his legacy and the inspiration he’s instilled on generations of Airmen. ... Fly high Chuck and thank you! 9th RW Commander | 9th RW Command Chief
Seventy nine years ago... a date which will live in infamy. Over 2,400 service members were killed, 1,100 wounded, eight battleships and 169 planes were damag...ed or destroyed during the attack on Pearl Harbor. While it was a great, and tragic, loss for our nation - it was also the first step we needed on the long road to Victory! Let us all remember the courage and sacrifices that were on display that day. May it be a constant reminder of why we serve. #PearlHarbor #freedomisnotfree #history

Recce Town, Let me paint a picture for you, some of you here know what we are talking about. Think about this, one day you woke up and realized you had a higher calling, or maybe your family line was always guiding you to protect others, defend others and go toward the danger while everyone goes toward safety... Then think about this; those very same people chose to raise their right hand. National First Responders Day on October 28 recognizes the heroic men and women who m...ake it their business to take immediate action when disaster strikes. Congress designated October 28th as National First Responders Day in 2017. The resolution honors the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and all those who are first on the scene in stressful situations. Everyday you drive through the gateway to Beale. Everyday that defender has to be ready at a moments notice to react. Everyday that firefighter has to be ready to respond. Every time EMS is ready to react. There's not much we can do to pay back these men and women who risk it all for us, nor do they expect it. Still, honoring them on this day is an important gesture. Honoring them everyday is better... Rumor has it that a simple ''thank you" can go along way, but donuts go a longer way!
Some places you will see cats on a car, other places you may see a squirrel, but here at Recce Town, gobble gobble (Dont worry, Thanksgiving is right around the corner)
Spooky Szn (Season) from our brethren at Osan
