Mrs. Tovar Sanchez is 93 and has lost two of her children this past month to this virus. Imagine burying your kids (or siblings)...you can’t. They were both under 65. This is not a political post but rather a post to pay respect to the family. Respect to the doctors/nurses/medical staff seeing this daily. Respect to first responders (medics, law enforcement, etc) who bring these patients in. Mrs. Tovar Sanchez and her daughter came in today with an emotional visit. We get a lot of questions on COVID 19 testing. The most common being I was close to someone that tested positive, I have no symptoms but should I get tested? It’s important to discuss this with your physician, PA, or NP. Symptoms can take a while to develop but so can the viral load. An early test may not be a true negative. Also it’s important that the test is done properly (should be invasive and deep enough). Again it’s important to discuss with your health care provider but most importantly if you think you’ve been exposed avoid contacting new people and CALL to set up an appointment if needed.
