Due to the LA County outdoor dining shutdown Bardot will be doing Take-Out only. Our new hours of operation will be from Noon-8pm starting today. The outdoor seating to the left of the restaurant will be available for the public to use so feel free to order food and have a few drinks while you wait.

Sumner Spaulding (1892 1952) was one of the principal architects of Claremont. He was particularly well-known for his mid-century Modern (MCM) designs. In Claremont, the Village Theatre, designed by Spaulding, typified his design aesthetics during the latter years of his career. Located at 206 West Bonita (Harvard and Bonita), the Village Theatre was a single screen, 540 seat theater. Opened on November 23, 1941, the theatre embodied the clean lines and simplicity associated with mid-century modern style with strong influences of International aesthetics. In the 1970s, the Village Theatre was closed and repurposed as the Harvard Square Development. Thanks to @claremontheritage for these great photos and details about our building!
