Christ has risen! He has risen indeed! Hallelujah! Amen! Resurrection greetings and blessings Saints of the Lighthouse. I pray each of you were able to have a peaceful, safe and reflective Holy Week and Easter Weekend. I know this new normal has impacted our lives with elements we do not like, but thanks be to God we are alive and able to give God praise, thanks and glory. He continues to shower His grace and mercy upon us. I am writing you this letter to touch base an...d let you know we are thinking about each of you. I have communicated with many of you in various ways over these past few weeks. I am pleased to know that our members and visiting members are fairly healthy and spiritually strong. Thanks be to God. Members of the Executive Committee had a ministry review conference call yesterday. I want to share with you some of our thoughts, concerns and hopes: 1. Our major worship format has to remain YouTube at this point in the pandemic. Those who are involved in the production will continue to be sure a meaningful and spiritually edifying worship service is produced and up on YouTube by mid-afternoon on Sundays. Please sign up and like so that we are able to keep track of the views. 2. Member to member communication via your selected communication style is so important. We are the body of Christ. Let’s continue to communicate and uplift each other in Christian faith. Small prayer/support groups have been very effective. 3. Communicating with me as needed for prayer, questions, concern or references. My cell phone allows me to communicate in various ways to be sure I’m there for you as our Pastor/Shepherd. 24/7 Cell: 402-525-3395 4. We need you to continue to share your faith by sending in your Tithes and Offerings. We are concerned that our members are not tithing. Please prayerfully considering how you can remain committed to your tithes and offering in order for us to maintain St. Paul’s mission and ministry responsibilities. If you have the ability to increase your tithe or share a special gift, please do so. Thank you and bless you for your continued commitment and faithfulness to the Lord and our Church. You have 2 ways to accomplish this: a. Mail to the church b. Use our website for making on line donations: www.stpaullutheranla.org: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard logos will show up. Very easy to use. Yes you will receive credit as normal, if you use this method. 5. We are looking for grants and aid to help supplement our budget deficit as well. If you are aware of any, please let us know. We can work together to apply for them. Saints, please remain in the Word, prayer and stay safe. (Ephesians 6:10-18, Act 17). Greetings and blessings in this mist of this world wide pandemic. We know that the Word, faith, prayer, caution and wisdom will see us through. God remains in full control Saints. I pray each of you are aware that we are using a multi-pronged approached to be supportive and remain a place of refuge to our members and the community. 1. We are keeping the doors of the Church open as a place of worship, refuge and potential emergency response location... 2. We are asking members and friends to remain in fervent prayer individually and to reach out to others for prayer and support 3.
