What a great and busy weekend we had! Open Water class, Dry Suit Class, Night Dive, and Free Divers all happened last weekend. The models were not looking good but Poseidon took pity on us and gave us two great days of diving. Sunday was the best day, Saturday was nice, but we would like to have a word with Poseidon about the night dive. First congratulations to our new Open Water Divers - Aidan, Christian, Claire, Yasmine, Alyssa, and Jesus. Huge thanks to Brent and Denn...is for keeping everyone safe and fun. Congratulations to our dry and toasty Dry Suit Divers - Tina, Rebecca, Chris, and Sage. We tried a night dive but aborted as the energy really picked up and stirred things up. We will be back to try again later. Our new Free Dive Line session picked the best day with calm water and great visibility. Thanks to Jose for making it safe and fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone in water again. We have a Fun Dive on the Beach Hopper this Sunday with a few spots available. Conditions look good so come join us!

Great end to this year's Fun Dives. We were out on the Beach Hopper 2 on Sunday. Captain MaryJo selected us 2 awesome sites, Bull Kelp Bowl and Erik's Pinnacle. This vis had to be 40+ feet. On the first dive we could see the shadow of the boat at the anchor in 64 feet of water. A few jellies out there but we were able to avoid the swarm that was at some of the other sites. We had a playful sea lion dive with us a Erik's. Congratulations to Matt on completing his Deep Dive specialty. He now can go to those deep dark scary places. The rain did not start until we were back at the shop so we had great conditions above and below the water. A perfect way to end our Fun Dives for 2020. The 2021 schedule is up so don't wait to sign up after the holidays. Grab your spot now. We will see you all in the water.

Congratulations to our 7 new Open Water Divers! It was a great weekend with nice conditions both on the surface and underwater. Although a bit chilly even by Monterey standards everyone was awesome. Congrats to Michael, Gerry, Isaiah, Shane, Makayla, Tabitha, and Vera. Huge thanks to Mark and Rebecca, keeping everyone safe and having a fun time. We're speechless! What an absolutely amazing turnout for this event! From raffle tickets, to donated artwork sales, and gear sales, we were able to raise $2,182 for Big Sur Fire! We chose Big Sur Fire because they're funded almost entirely through donations and grants! Firefighters from Big Sur Fire are still actively fighting the Dolan Fire, so these funds will directly support their ongoing efforts! Thank you so much for helping support our local volunteer firefighters! What an amazing dive community we have!
