To most tourists and locals, these public restrooms located on 14800 Pacific Coast Highway (formerly Roosevelt Highway) within the #WillRogersStateBeach (currently administrated by the State of California Dept. of Parks & Recreation "California State Parks", operated by the Dept. of Beaches and Harbors Los Angeles County, and protected by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Li...feguard Division) are not more than just that. However for many years that historic building served as the #SantaMonicaCanyon #LifeguardStation. We hope you enjoy these photos (photographic credit and sources below). #FBF While our two 4x4 #lifeguard trucks and trailer are our main way of transporting equipment, from time to time we also use carts of different kinds for narrow paths at client #resorts and #hotels. #WBW Since 2012, our #lifeguards have provided #eventwatersafety to multiple #specialevents, #sportevents and even a #beachwedding at night at El #Coromuel Beach. Chosen by many for its usual calm conditions, others choose it because alcoholic beverages are permitted on the beach. Large crowds, entering the water under the influence, illegal pier jumping or the occasional windy/choppy day have caused a number of fatalities in spite of Coromuel's usual good water conditions. ...Governmental "lifeguards" are rarely on duty or watching the water, which has contributed to some of the latest incidents. When ASD provides #lifeguardservice at this beautiful beach in #LaPaz, #BajaCaliforniaSur, we always assign #reallifeguards equipped with and AED, Oxygen unit, trauma kit, multiple first aid kits and spineboards and trained in pier jumping. -A technique that reduces response time taught to very few lifeguards in Mexico. Reason why we are the main provider of #beachsafety to #events in the #BajaCalifornia Peninsula. Desde 2012, nuestros #guardavidas han proveído seguridad en el agua para #eventos a múltiples eventos especiales, eventos deportivos y hasta a una boda playera de noche en #PlayaElCoromuel. Escogida por sus usales condiciones calmas por muchos, otros la escogen porque las bebidas alcoholicas están permitidas en la playa. Grandes multitudes, entrar al agua bajo la influencia, saltos ilegales desde el muelle o el ocasional día ventoso/picado han causado un número de fatalidades a pesar de las usuales buenas condiciones de Coromuel. Los "guardavidas" gubernamentales rara vez están de servicio o mirando el agua, lo que ha contribuido a algunos de los últimos incidentes. Cuando el DSA provee servicio de guardavidas en ésta hermosa playa en La Paz, Baja California Sur, siempre asignamos #guardavidasdeverdad equipados con DEA, unidad de Oxígeno, kit de trauma, múltiples kits de primeros auxilios y tablas espinales y entrenados en saltos desde muelle. -Una técnica que reduce tiempo de respuesta enseñada a muy pocos guardavidas en México.
