With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our dear comrade, Unger Jacob Kavarian. Unger Jacob has been an active member of the AYF since his days as a member of the AYF Juniors Glendale Chapter, holding various positions of leadership within the organization and our community. Most recently, he traveled to Armenia, following the war to provide relief to the families of fallen heroes. Our organization has been eternally moved by Unger Jacob and all the passion he ...brought for our Cause and Homeland. With the growth we saw in him from his time as an AYF Junior and the years of hard work he put in, it is with great pain we will no longer be able to work alongside him. Unger Jacob was loved by so many of our members and will be truly missed. The AYF and all its members extends its deepest condolences to the Kavarian family and his friends.

On this day, 100 years ago, Soghomon Tehlirian tracked and killed Talaat Pasha, one of the three orchestrators of the Armenian Genocide responsible for the death of 1.5 million people. Tehlirian is a hero in the eyes of the Armenian nation because it was through his will and his faith for the Armenian future that led him to eliminate a man who had no regard for human life - most distinctly, Armenian life. We salute our avenger, Soghomon Tehlirian, for his pivotal act in allowing our nation to rise once more and use his courage to guide our actions henceforth.
