Player Spotlight! Max Nishikawa, 6th grade Prime. Max was one of the top 5th graders in the Bay Area back in the spring and nobody worked harder over the summer! Attending multiple workouts each day with us virtually and/or in person, the improvement in his game speed dribbling skills and shooting ability has been significant. The footage in this video is pre-pandemic in 5th grade, we can't wait to see Max in a game again after all the work he continues to put in.... congratulations to Max as he pursues his dream of being the best basketball player he can be! #Primebasketball #Theasaway

Special Congratulations to Coach Greg St. Jean, Current member of the Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff! Greg was a member of our first ASA team back when he was in 8th grade, he was always a student of the game. We are all enjoying following Greg's career at the NBA level as one of the best young coaches in the world. Greg, your future is bright but for now enjoy that world championship! Thank you for the example you have set for all of the young players you have reached throughout our program, it's pretty exciting for your youngsters to have an NBA champion as a part of the ASA family!!! Colby Orr - Alumni Player Spotlight: We are proud to call Colby one of the first Prime players ever, his 7th grade team was our first team ever! Colby's team still is recognized as one of the best we've had, with the majority moving on to play college basketball. Colby began his college career at Citrus College where he earned All-Conference honors, and now he looks forward to continuing his success at Chico State University. We look forward to watching this Prime "OG" in the years to come! #primebasketball #theasaway

Coach Spotlight - JORDAN CLARK: Coach Jordan is an ASA Basketball alum, amongst many who went on to play college basketball. Jordan showed great leadership skills throughout his career, becoming captain of his team his senior year at Linfield University. Jordan has built a life of serving others, he is currently a medical school applicant and is working to become an EMT. "Jordan has quickly become one of the best youth basketball coaches I've been around. His dedication to coaching the details and instilling great habits, along with his great personality which creates great connections with young players, makes him a huge asset to ASA and Prime Basketball". The Virtual Dribbling Club has become one of our most popular programs. NINETEEN workouts a week players can log in as little or as much as they'd like, with coaches challenging and pushing them! Very few players take the time to work on one of the most important skills in basketball, dribbling, on a daily basis. These players log in and WORK, no substitute for pounding the ball game speed, head up. Nothing complicated about it, dribble with a purpose 10-20 minutes a day and you'll see big results long term.... If you are a serious player at any level check out the Dribbling Club, so many opportunities to develop that handle each week! #Primebasketball #Theasaway #handles

Alumni Coach Spotlight - Marcus Schroeder: Marcus was a regular at our Skills Academies when ASA Basketball first started. He always stood out with his work ethic and ability to be coachable. Marcus went on to have a legendary career at De La Salle High School winning a state championship in 2006, and continued his playing career at Princeton University. As the Associate Head Coach at St. Mary's College, Marcus is one of six ASA/Prime alumni coaching at the college or professional level! One of our most improved players over the past six months, Koji Trode! Super proud of how hard @koji_trode_24 continues to work on his game. He has attended our Zoom workouts, in person workouts, he’s a regular at Shoot 360, dedicating time each day to be the best he can be! The new Prime season is well underway! These are unique times, but our focus on skill development on both sides of the ball stays the same. Proud of our players for maintaining a strong desire to improve throughout these times! MAJOR SHOUTOUT to one of the hardest workers in our program Lauren Clark. Lauren has been very consistent coming to over 90% of our 180+ Zoom NOT INCLUDING all of our Virtual Dribble Club Zoom workouts. Lauren is a great example of what can happen if you just put in the work day in and day out. Great job Lauren!

Just wanted to get on here and say thank you to everyone who has believed in our message. Through these trying times, it’s been amazing to see how our players and families have responded. There’s been many players who have been able to come to most of our 250+ Zoom workouts since April, and that’s a real testament to how badly they want to improve.
