Let your natural beauty shine! I don’t know about you, but there is nothing quite like a natural beauty! I love that God made us each unique, with certain features that initially draw others to us. For me, my eyes and long lashes (thanks Daddy) have always been my best feature so I try to play them up whenever possible. It could be as simple as mascara or a little bit of bronze shadow to make the blue POP! When I do makeup for brides, I love enhancing their natural be...auty and just playing up whatever special feature God gave them. . Keeping it natural is the way to go. There is no need to overdo it! Nothing like brightening things up for the Fall! Did you know that chamomile is an excellent way to brighten up your blonde naturally in between appointments?! Thaaaaaat’s right! Chamomile is known for its high content in Apigenin found in the petals. This yellow pigment attaches to the scales in the hair without penetrating the hair cuticle and is shown to help brighten hair naturally and enhance shine. It’s also amazing and soothing a dry itchy scalp! To use, let 3 chamo...mile tea bags (add 2 table spoon of honey for added softness) steep in hot water for 20 min. Let the mixture cool. Shampoo and conditioner hair as normal. Then as your final rinse, apply chamomile mixture to the hair. Do not rinse! Try this trick! I promise your hair will love your for it.

Can we just take a minute to cheers to the weekend?! Wooooo last week was a doozy with the heat, earthquakes, the debates...lots going on! I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend! We are headed to the beach for our last beach day is the year. There is a lot of hatred and division going on on social media right now. I just want to remind and encourage everyone to love on others today and everyday! I challenge you to love on someone, even if you don’t agree with them...even when it’s SUPER hard! I promise it’s worth it

Just because Summer is almost over, doesn’t mean your blonde has to be! The Fall weather, pumpkin spice everything, and UGG boots are soon to make their arrival, but why not keep that Summer vibe going by adding some blonde to your look. A dimensional blonde (or bronde) never goes out of season! Before + After:... Gabby hadn’t been in in over a year to get her blonde touched up. She wanted to add more blonde throughout while still keeping it low maintenance since she’s a hardworking college student. So we did a full head of highlights where I customized the placement and technique to ensure that it looks like it grew out of her head and the grow-out was seamless! Then I did a smudge root, which helps to make sure that there aren’t any harsh lines as her hair grows out. We finished up her look by trimming off her dead ends so that her hair can remain nice and healthy until her next visit. Needless to say, we were both obsessed with how it turned out! What about you? Let’s talk about every woman’s worst nightmare....excessive shedding! Ok let’s have some real talk! You brush your hair after showering and notice that you are getting a clump of hair in your brush and it seems to be more than usual. You freak out as anyone would! But here are some facts about hair loss and some of its causes: Our hair has 3 growth stages and it’s not uncommon to lose approx. 100-200 hairs PER DAY! In order for our new hair to grow or come in, it h...as to push the old hair out. Every hair on your head is in a different stage of growth. Like animals, our hair typically sheds more depending on the season. Typically we shed more in late summer/early Fall, again around April. Stress, diet, birth control, vitamin deficiency, and medications are all things that can affect our hair. Our hair and skin are all affected by what’s going on internally. Hormone levels and thyroid levels can greatly affect your hair and can result in an increase of shedding. If you are noticing an increase of hair loss, I highly recommend talking to your doctor and getting some blood work done to ensure that everything is ok hormonally. Too much heat styling an also affect your hair health. Happy Sunday! We are going to live it up today because tomorrow....well Grace starts virtual learning tomorrow. Needless to say I’m not thrilled over it because I’m not the most tech savvy person and there are several different sites she has to access depending on what she’s doing lol. Why can’t things just be simple like when we were kids with workbooks etc?! We don’t let Grace have screen time (other than watching movies at home), so this should be interesting! Nothing like a little base touch up and balayage refresh before taking a short break..... As you know, salons are being shut down again until further notice. While my soul is disappointed, I remain hopeful because I know that God is still in control! That gives me hope! Thank you for everyone reaching out to see how I’m doing. During these times, it’s easy to get discouraged. To look out into the distance and not know what lies ahead. This year has really taught me to never take anything for granted, be thankful in all things because they shape us and refine us, and give grace. Rest assured that good things are in store for us! I often get asked what my absolute favorite service is and why Ugh the dreaded question! There is something about adding some natural looking dimension to the hair that just makes me giddy! It’s definitely a balance of not overdoing it, but adding enough so that you can actually see dimension. Whenever I do any type of blonding service I always like to make sure it looks like it grew out of your head! ... What about you?
