ZILLOW users!!! If you use Zillow for information regarding the value of your home or to look for a new home please read Recently Zillow became their own brokerage which means they can buy and sell real estate. How’s that bad you ask? Well first of all if you’ve heard of Open Door, Purple bricks etc you may know they claim to buy houses without a hassle so you the consumer aren’t inconvenienced BUT they buy them at a huge discount and require repairs which can add up... to thousands more than if you had hired a traditional and professionally trained agent. They claim to do it for less than traditional realtors, however instead of calling it commissions they call all line items fees costing you thousands of dollars! Why do you need to know this? Because today Zillow has made changes to their websites. Agents were able to claim profiles on there some pay thousands of dollars a month to keep their listing info exclusive to them so that an agent who knows very little about the home compared to the actual listing agent isn't giving inaccurate information to a potential buyer. We were able to add our sales history and reviews making it a great place to learn about agents you may be interviewing. Today it’s all gone! It shows nothing or very little and very inaccurate information on every agent except theirs. PLEASE, if you’re looking to buy or sell this year ask me to set you up on a search so you can get complete and accurate information on the worth of your home and not be tricked into working with Zillow if you inadvertently click on a button while browsing. I won’t hassle you until you ask me for more help and you’ll be able to do your own search. Thinking about selling?
