Happy Veteran’s Day. This day is meant to honor those who have served our country. We would like to thank all veterans for the sacrifices you have made. Thank you for all that you have done for our country, and all that you continue to do in our local communities. We honor you every day.
GMR is celebrating Veteran’s Day all week! Veterans make up about 20% of the EMS workforce, while nationally the workforce is composed of only about 6%. We are ...thankful for the veterans who have joined our GMR family to serve our communities, at a moment’s notice. As we approach Veteran’s Day, we will be sharing a few of very own veterans and their stories, as well as tips and resources for veterans who now work in EMS in civilian careers. See more
At Global Medical Response, we stand by our six guiding principles, one of which is Innovation: we are driven to develop solutions that inspire progress. In Jan...uary 2020, no one could have predicted what the year would bring. However, because of the innovation of our company and crews, our teams were able to band together and quickly take action. In early 2020, our teams began responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in communities across the country. We asked some of our crews to share with us how their lives have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. http://ow.ly/AAc950C5x4I

Today is World Mental Health Day, an international day focused on global mental health awareness, education and advocacy. Personal well-being is vital to overa...ll quality of life at home and in the workplace. Yet this year, we continue to see increasing rates of depression, anxiety and burnout being reported across the country. Excessive stress is believed to be the underlying culprit in many of these physical and mental health issues. The good news is we can improve the ways we manage our stress, making ourselves more resilient and resistant to its negative impacts. To help support you in this goal, we are building additional GMR Life resources in conjunction with the All Clear Foundation, created by GMR to improve overall responder wellness. Tools such as the free and confidential ResponderStrong Wellness Tool and the anonymous ResponderRel8 peer-to-peer chat app are available at www.globalmedicalresponse.com/resources/caregiver-well-being along with many other resources. If you or someone you know is struggling, overwhelmed or lonely, we encourage you to reach out, connect and get linked to qualified help through our programs.
