Albany CERT

On Sunday November 3rd the City of Albany conducted a one-hour Voluntary Evacuation Exercise for over 250 units in the Albany Hill Neighborhood. Staff from 5 different local agencies took part in this multi-discipline event. Of course the Albany CERT Community was there helping out too. Thanks to everyone for the hard work and dedication to get and keep our community prepared.

Lieutenant Tim Smyser from the Albany Fire Department made a presentation to the Albany CERT Community at the regular 5th Wednesday of the month meeting on Wildfires and the upcoming Albany Hill Evacuation Drill . There will be a continuing education workshop, Emergency Power for Residential Households for you to learn how to minimize the impact of both short and long term power outages on yourself and your family.
