Dear Academy of the Canyons Families: In 2013, I was fortunate enough to become the new principal of AOC. I had no idea I was in for such an amazing, life-changing experience. My time working with the students, staff, and families at AOC has been nothing short of incredible. ... As a community, we have developed unique support programs and innovative opportunities while maintaining a focus on the academic achievement for ALL students. We have facilitated a long-term, collaborative relationship with COC to ensure the AOC students have the best educational college experience possible. Most importantly, we have maintained an all-inclusive-family environment on campus that I am very proud of. As many have already been made aware, I have accepted the position as Director for Student Services at the William S. Hart Union High School District. In doing so, I will be leaving my role as principal of Academy of the Canyons at the end of the current academic year. I, as is the entire AOC staff, am committed to completing this academic year with grace, support, and as much appreciation for our graduating class as possible. While my departure from AOC is bittersweet, I am looking forward to serving the district in my new position. I am thankful for my many experiences at AOC and for all of the wonderful relationships I have developed. I wish you all the very best. Congratulations to the AOC class of 2020!
