Eat your veggies, especially the ones grown in the A3 Garden! There are lots of tomatoes, kale, cabbage, and a few peas! Help yourself, A3ers! I (Kalli) always have big plans to harvest and set them out in the lobby but then I bring two little boys and a puppy with me and we’re just lucky to make it out. ... Buds are starting to break on the first of the 16 fruit trees, including a new almond and apple tree I just added. I also just planted 6 elderberry bushes and 5 blueberries bushes along the back fence! I’ll be adding a moringa hedge when it warms up and more luffa vines, and planting for lots of summer veggies soon!! And ICYMI, you can always sponsor a garden plot or a fruit tree which goes directly to our athletes’ scholarship fund. And athletes - don’t forget you can always fundraise your tuition. No excuses. It’s usually not necessary to gain 10lbs of muscle to be a better athlete. Force = mass x acceleration If you train and focus on acceleration and efficiency of movement, you can still produce MORE force at the SAME weight and BE a force to reckon with.... Let’s make you even better RIGHT NOW. Even though it feels like it, this off-season won’t last forever.

Today we honor America’s Veterans who have bravely served our country. Here’s a highlight of just a few of the Veterans in our lives: One of our best friends who (20 years into his service) just returned from another deployment a few months ago and almost paid the ultimate sacrifice. Ryan’s grandfather and father who each served 26 years in the USAF. A3 Coach @martce89 who served 10 years in the Navy. And Kalli’s grandfather who served in the Navy many years ago. THANK YOU to all Veterans for your service!!

Here are a few of the drills: VOR Drills for Spatial Awareness - so important but especially for contact sports to prevent concussion.... Ankle Mobility and articulation - vital to foot position and change of direction. Helps with deceleration and protection of the knee. These drills are very helpful because foot and ankle are often a main cause for a lot of nagging knee and lower back issues. Happy Friday! [Q&A for the adults]: Why train like an athlete and use functional fitness Because it translates to all areas of daily life! Sometimes that’s picking up kiddos or carrying groceries or doing basic chores without getting hurt, and sometimes that’s learning to surf at 35 Kalli tried surfing for the first time ever on Sep 25. Clearly she’s making progress (video from Nov 3).... Kalli does 3 30-min A3 workouts a week in the living room. They build strength, cardio endurance, balance, coordination, and mobility, which all translate to this new hobby!
