We attended a Healthcare Reform meeting today regarding Individual Healthcare. This is only the beginning of a very scary time for all of us. Here's some information for you to absorb... All individuals who do not purchase insurance through the proposed government "Exchanges", through a Broker or through their Employer, are subject to the following penalties: 2014 - $95.00 per family member or 1% of your taxable income... 2015 - $325.00 per family member or 2% of your taxible income 2016 - $695.00 per family member or 2.5% of your taxible income Persons with annual incomes of less than $14,500 will automatically/mandatory be enrolled in the state funded Medi-Cal programs. Familes of 4 with annual incomes of less than $44,500 will also be automatically/mandatory enrolled in state funded Medi-Cal programs. We do have an election in the middle of this healthcare crisis, PLEASE VOTE!

Glad to report Liz is doing well. Mariah and I visited her last night. She is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days.
