Statewide Update!

Huntington Beach Police Officers' Association 06.11.2020

The women and men of the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) and the Huntington Beach Police Officers’ Association (HBPOA) recognize the sacrifices that individuals throughout our law enforcement community have made over the years. It is always difficult, but important, to honor and remember those members of our department who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community and profession. Today, we recognize the City of Huntington Beach’s first Police Officer who died in the line of duty, LeRoy Darst, He is recognized each year by members of our department during the annual Orange County Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony. Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers on that date. We will never forget people like Officer Darst and, as current members of the HBPD, will continue to honorably serve and protect our community.

We really changed the way police departments approach human trafficking and the way we approach young men and women, Friesen said. There’s an entire generation that’s been forced into prostitution.
