It has been 2 and a half years since I lost Elvis. He was my best friend and my rock in life. He helped me learn to love outside of myself. The love Macy and Elvis gave me, encouraged me to start this project. It’s almost impossible for me To look at his pictures or watch videos with him in it. I cry at the least twice a week thinking of him and Macy. Their loss almost ruined me. Today I saw this video and for the first time since I lost him, I smiled at his memory. He was th...e happiest dog and all he wanted was to spend his time with his daddy. He gave his life to be with me. The least I can do is save as many of his brothers and sister until god calls me to his kingdom. To you Elvis and Macy, and because of you, so many have their dogs. I owe everything to you both. Do what makes you most happy in life and rock it as hard as you can no matter what the obstacle. Resilience and endurance are your two greatest weapons in this world. One of my greatest flaws is being short with people and not having as much patience with them as I should. Over the years this is one thing that I have struggled with and it is one thing that has always bothered me and I have tried very hard to be better and more patient and a little kinder to people in general.... So I do want to say to some folks out there that I may have Felt that I was not, I’m sorry. I have bad days too. A lot of what I see and do is very disturbing and very emotionally draining. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed. I really work hard to share the most positive parts of my job. I feel that there’s so many negative things going on in the world that if we could just keep focusing on one positive thing then maybe we can at least make one person out there feel better. I have learned that’s the best thing I can do when I have reached my limit is to stop answering my phone.. it definitely has helped. Hi Justin, Gracie is tired after her latest dry night, breakfast, and is napping on one of her favorite people! We are still horrible at videos, but we’ll keep trying. She sleeps on her back as much as her tummy.... She is 23.6 pounds, and doing really well on potty training. She plays with balls and squeaky toys now instead of running from them. She is interested but not overly so in the cats who sometimes come to the yard. Her next appointment at the vet is 12/11/20, when we anticipate starting vaccines and getting a spay appointment. She is a very happy puppy. Best, Nancy

Enjoying another beautiful morning with my little buddy Teddy. Teddy is finally starting to come around really turning into a wonderful and remarkable little dog.

GOODMORNING from camp 1 love! Oh my goodness it is cold today!! Good thing we have a nice warm home and lots of loving family to snuggle with. We are working hard on getting the momma dogs and teddy ready for adoption. Sweet little Chiquita banana is the very best little momma dog. She is very loving and loves to follow you around, sit on your lap, go on car rides, cuddle in her blankets. She is a little diva and loves her bath time. She is not a barker. She will alert to strange sounds or people but not more than any other dog. She is amazing with children a d any small creatures. She is a dog that can be trusted with cats and probably livestock. She loves to go anywhere she can with you. She is about 10 pounds. And 3 years.

A very happy day for lots of hungry dogs and Cats of placer county! Much of this will go to our rescue partner who deals primarily with elderly and baby pups. The rest of all the cat food and dog food will go to placer county shelter along with a lot of cat sand. This time of the year is especially hard for the homeless in our towns. Much of what I donate goes directly to the shelters. Over the years we have help donate close to 100,000 pounds of dog food. Thankfully it for g...ood people who work at the placer County animal shelter, they help provide much of the needed dog food and cat food to the homeless and their dogs. My poor back had moved much of this on my own, but I will keep fighting to help thoes who have less than I. I know what it’s like to have nothing, so giving is so rewarding.
