Attached is a flyer for the new Arizona Collegiate Badminton Scholarships offered at three universities in the Phoenix area! It is time to start alerting everyone about this great new opportunity in time for the Fall 2020 season! I am also talking to two additional universities for similar scholarship offers, however we want to start getting the word out now for the three confirmed programs: Arizona Christian University, Benedictine University Mesa, Ottawa University Surpris...e. Each of these programs would like a minimum of 5 men and 5 women on their badminton team. These can be national or international graduating high school players or college transfers. They will compete in the Arizona Collegiate Badminton League (ACBL), which was formed this past year that also includes about 8 other badminton club teams (ASU, UofA, NAU, Arizona community colleges, etc). In addition, we are planning to schedule some travel tournaments with CA schools. The general concept of these scholarships is half-off the regular annual tuition which is in the $25,000 average for these schools, thus reduced to the $10-$15,000 range. In turn, these universities provide a coach, training, supplies, etc. If we are successful, then I think it can be a model for the nation for hundreds of other colleges to add scholarship badminton teams. I know that you are all very busy, but I'm hoping that each of you can forward these to your local, regional, and any national and international connections you think may be interested. It is critical that these schools get a great response and are able to field full teams in time for the Fall 2020. If so, other schools will follow suit and we may see a significant strategic development in US badminton. I also have recruiting flyers from each of these universities that can be accessed by the following link: https://drive.google.com/open
