Chief Sportfishing

Wanted to take this time to wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving. Although we suffered a huge hit this season we are still very thankful for all the passengers that shared the rail with us. Stay tuned as we will be dropping some big news very soon. On behalf of myself and the crew of the Chief happy thanksgiving!

Hey everyone just wanted to give you all a heads up on what’s going on. As of now the Chief is going to auctioned off as a salvage title. The damages caused via the boat yard are going to cost double what the boat is worth to fix it. At this time I truly do not know what is in store for me and the crew. Our hopes are to buy another boat and be back in action next season but we don’t know if that’s possible at this point. On behalf of myself and the crew of the chief we thank you all for fishing with us over the past year and a half and if we are able to rebound from this we hope to see you on the water soon. As new events unfold I will be posting them here so keep your eye out. The boys!

Wanted to give everyone a heads up as to what’s going on with the Chief. Last week the boat was hauled out to install a new sonar and in the process of being hauled the boat suffered extensive damage due to gross negligence from an unnamed boat yard. At this time we do not know the fate of the chief but wanted to give everyone the heads up on what’s going on before the rumor mill starts to twist everything. I will keep everyone updated as things progress.

Our industry suffered a very tragic loss today. To the crew and the passengers on board you will all be in our thoughts. May all the victims rest easy!

We returned this am from our furgeson/woolsey 2.5 day charter with a couple good shots on yellowfin. Excellent weather and biting fish was the rule on this one. 130 yellowfin 1 yellowtail 2 bluefin I didn’t take any pics on this trip do here is Chef Johnnys peach/apple stuffed pork loin dinner....
