Meet the souls behind our very own @grindstonewinesMichael and Amy Doherty started Grindstone Wines in 2010. The Doherty family has farmed in Colusa and Yolo counties for multiple generations, and Michael first planted grapes in the foothills west of Arbuckle in 1997! With the help of their niece, Tierney, Michael and Amy opened Grindstone’s tasting room in July of this year. Tierney is Grindstone’s brand manager and has been with Grindstone since 2016. Michael and Amy’s daughters, Molly and Emma, are also part of the family business, spending time in the tasting room and vineyard. Grindstone is proud to be family-owned and operated!
