What do you do when you LOSE YOUR VOICE? Especially when you work in sales...and you like to talk a lot. Like me. I was at a networking event. And I lost my voice. ... This is what I did... You can follow this formula even if you haven’t lost your voice Special thanks to Kris Lindahl for the cameo. I’ll learn to spell your name next time! Step 1 - GET CREATIVE Anytime something goes wrong...I get creative. Think about ways to stand out. Usually it’s not because I’m trying to be different (although we did borrow one of our companies core values from Apple Think Different). It’s just because I like to laugh and keep things interesting. If you think something is fun probably other peeps will also! Step 2 - START CONNECTING Next figure out ways you can start building rapport and relationships with people. I probably made better friends by walking around with my little lost my voice notecards than if I still had a voice Step 3 - BE HELPFUL The easiest way to get on someone’s good side... Be helpful. You don’t need a voice for that. Just be observant and when you see something don’t wait to be asked, just jump in and help. Get stuff done. People will remember you for being that awesome person that just jumped in And even if they don’t remember you, at least you made their day a little better. LOL So that’s really it. Next conference, I may have to fake it and pretend I’ve got no voice. It was actually pretty fun!

Discuss something already in their brain Here’s the Framework for using video... 1. Open a loop of curiosity: What is a conversation going on in the potential clients mind? What’s a pain point? 2. Introduce and tell them what you’re going to say: Hey it’s (your name). We all keep hearing about the importance of video and today I want to share with you some compelling reasons to help you get into action 3. Educate A. One minute of video has the impact of 1,800,000 words B. 55% of communication is body language. There’s no body language in email, text or telephone. Right there you dramatically beat the competition. C. Video has a 500% longer staying power in the brain than something someone reads. Marketing is about impact. Hopefully these tips will help you take action and have a bigger impact in your market That’s it that’s all there ain’t no more Don’t talk just to talk...
