PLEASE take a minute to share. If you can't adopt her sharing her is free and maybe you are the connection to her forever people. Dog is located in Corona, CA. If interested please call 714-654-9151 or email [email protected] and put Kia in the subject line. Kia now comes with a full scholarship to Bad Dogs Inc. training in Corona, CA. Hi! My name is Kia. I am excited to see who my forever people are. Through no fault of my own I have been with a couple of different fa...milies during the first two years of my life. I would love for my next home to be my forever home. I have been through a lot in my short life. I had puppies’ way too young and was not treated perfectly by people but that is all behind me now and I still love human people of all sizes. Although I am almost 2 years old no one has ever taken the time to train me so my new foster mom is teaching me rules and boundaries now that I never learned before. I am picking things up quickly and learning how to live a normal dog life. I am crate trained and potty trained, I did have a couple accidents while adjusting to my new foster home but now I go outside all the time. I love to play so living with another big or medium size dog that likes to play would be just fine. I am also okay if there isn’t another dog in the house and someone is active and wants to take me out with them wherever they go. I would love to try out hiking, running along someone’s side, or even the dog beach. I have a whole long life ahead of me and I want YOU to be my person. I have lived with small dogs but if they aren’t playful that isn’t fun for me. I love children but because I need so much training a family with older teenagers is probably best. I need someone with the time to teach me the rules in my new home. I am a fast learner though so I am excited for you to teach me! I love dog toys and love, Love, LOVE to snuggle. It would be a dream for me to sleep in bed with you. My foster mom says I can jump on the bed all by myself and I am a really good snuggler. My foster mom thinks I would also be great at agility or dock diving. I love to jump and catch tennis balls and you should see how high I can get off the ground. I do need a strong pack leader, someone who is familiar with training, and or willing to learn how to train me. I am extremely loyal, super smart, happy and looking forward to all that you can teach me. I love you already and so excited to have my forever tribe pick me up today. If you can't adopt or don't want to share feel free to donate to her foster care at [email protected]. Thank you!

Well, I had finally decided to stop my own rescue and just help other rescues and then..... a dog get returned. Welcome back Kia. The right thing to do is take a dog back. Even if it is inconvenient or bad timing. You just do it. I opened my arms and welcomed her into my home as a foster until I find her final forever home. Anyone who knows me knows I don't do puppies so this has been interesting. However, I am working on training her to be more adoptable and hopefully ...her cuteness and spunky personality will attract her forever owner soon. In the meantime I have put about $500 out of pocket for her to keep her busy and a vet visit because I thought she had a UTI. Walter and Friends account is drained so feel free to send even a few dollars to [email protected]. This will be my last foster through WAF although since I was planning on closing any donation is through the kindness of your heart and not a tax donation anymore. I will continue to have open arms for any dog we adopted out and foster for other rescues but this is my last one through WAF. As always thank you for your support and you can continue to follow her journey here. I will have a post soon about finding her forever home that you can share. See more

For those of you that followed Kia’s story and helped us out with her here are some pictures that her adoptive mom sent me today. She did well after surgery and is thriving in her new home. They have a puppy that she is playing with constantly now that she is healed up from surgery. So happy that so many of you were a special part of saving this girl and putting her in this loving home.

She is home safe. I could list the 20 things I didn’t do for work and home the last two days but instead I choose to focus on what I did do. Rescuing a dog takes many hours of phone calls, emails, texts, vet appointments, driving, home checks, and on and on. One dog equals hours and days but I saved a dog’s life. It feels good. It makes my heart full. If I could only bottle this feeling up for the times when I need it. Nothing else matters in the world at least for the mome...nt when you look into a dog’s eyes and they say thank you. Kia did over and over the last 24 hours. Thank you for keeping me safe. Thank you for fixing me so I no longer have puppies. Thank you for keeping me warm and giving me a place to sleep inside. Thank you for letting this awesome family adopt me so I can spend the rest of my days being best friends with the kids ohhhhh how she loves them. Thank you for keeping food in my belly and keeping me out of that awful shelter. These are just some of the thank yous she said to me the last two days. I say thank you to all the donors that made this possible. Without you I wouldn’t be able to help. Thank you and shout out to Dr. Card and the awesome vet staff at Sycamore Creek Animal Hospital for taking such great care of her. Thank you to her previous owner for loving her enough to allow her to go to a new home. Thank you to her new family for fostering her and taking her under your wings, for falling in love with her and adopting her. Kia those eyes talk. I wish you the best always. You have a new life now go enjoy it. See more
