Hey Folks, For obvious reasons we will not have Empty Bowls this year. Your Organizing Team thought this would be a perfect opportunity to say thanks to all those businesses (listed below) who have generously supported this event over the years. If you are out and about or ordering take out in the next few weeks/months please consider throwing some business in the direction of our Empty Bowls sponsors. If you do, let them know you are an educator saying thank you for their... past and continuing support of our Empty Bowls event. CUSD did NOT decide to stay hybrid through Spring semester. The Board will look at numbers and make the decision as it gets closer. It was decided that while we are in hybrid we will be AM/PM. WHAT’S COOL AT SCHOOL? Submitted by Kelly Noble Neal Dow Elementary I would like to acknowledge Gayle Olsen for going above and beyond for my Neal Dow student and her family. Gayle was called in to translate in ASL our Back to School Night presentations to help support this new to CUSD family. She took time out of her very busy and already full day to help support a family in need. She has continued to support and help out by delivering materials and keeping in contact with the mother. I emailed Gayle to say thanks, and then stopped her in Winco and told her that she was an angel from above! I wanted to share this story with others to say thank you.
