This is how I get my tools ready for a voice over session. I'm using Sound Forge Pro, but you could do the same thing using a spare track in Audacity. Just have an extra track (muted) below your track that you're editing. One cool hint- once you copy (ctrl or Command C) a piece of audio to your clipboard, it stays there unless you replace it. So once you load up a good little sound patch, just drag and Ctrl/Command V to paste it over the ugly spot. Enjoy!
