Often times, the other paramedic program in our region is referred to us as the competition, but in all actuality, they are very much our partners. We work closely with VVC to ensure the wellness of all students and support the agencies that seek to employee them. This photo captures that perfectly, as 2 agencies and 2 schools come together to provide care for a victim in need. We will continue to train these essential workers and respond to our community’s needs.

Congratulations to Academy 36 they’re off to clinicals! This group spent several weeks on Zoom due to covid restrictions. They applied themselves after being allowed back on campus and managed to finish their didactic portion strong. Proud of you all

After a long hard journey spanning just about a year, through the sacrifice of blood, sweat and tears, I rise the victor in the most challenging task I've ever put myself through yet. This has easily been the best AND the worst year of my life yet, but I also realize it will probably prove to be the most rewarding year of my life. After a year of sleep...less nights, gruesome mornings, long study sessions, and a thousand energy drinks later, I find myself having arrived at the light at the end of the tunnel. Saturday I completed my field internship, easily the most challenging part of school, where you take what you've learned and apply it in the real world. I'd like to thank @vvc.ems.academy for welcoming me into their awesome and challenging academy, my near-omniscient preceptor Lonnie for teaching me the practical side of paramedicine, my emt partner CJ for being there with me through the entire thing and watching my back for me, thanks to all of my instructors who believed in me from the beginning and never let me give up and pushed me to do my best, and to all my classmates who were right there with me through the entire thing, all of us pushing each other to carry on. Paramedic school had to be one of the most challenging, stressful, yet most fun and rewarding experience I’ve been through to this day. Thank you to my family, girlfriend, and friends for the constant love, support, and patience this past year! Thank you @vvc.ems.academy for teaching me... the ways of being a paramedic, but also meeting some amazing individuals I call my classmates and friends! Big thank you to @sanbernardinocountyfire for allowing me to do my internship with your amazing fire department and firefighters up until Covid! Thank you @amrvictorville for allowing me to finish the rest of my internship with your ambulance company! To my preceptors @ccoble11 & Joe; you showed me the ways of being an amazing paramedic who has a true passion for the field, but also a constant hunger to keep working hard, keep learning, and have extreme pride of this career. I aspire to be like you guys one day as medics; you sparked a fire for me that I will carry for the rest of my career from here on out.
